GRUPPO LEVEY & CO. ANNOUNCES TECHNOLOGY PRACTICE GROUP

March 16, 2009 – New York, NY – Gruppo, Levey & Co. (GLC), a leading private investment bank, announced today the formation of a dedicated technology practice group. This new practice group will focus on arranging financing and providing M&A advisory services to growing technology companies and their entrepreneurial leaders. The practice group will be led by Toni Sikes, a Senior Adviser at GLC and Jeff Weinberger, a Principal at GLC.

Ms. Sikes brings 22 years of entrepreneurial experience to this effort. As the founder and CEO of two companies, she has raised over $50 million from leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms, including Benchmark Capital and Technology Crossover Ventures. She has authored several books, and is a widely recognized expert in the area of online marketing of luxury products to consumers. Ms. Sikes serves on the boards of several technology companies, as well as national and international economic development organizations, and frequently lectures on entrepreneurism. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Alabama and a M.S. in Market Research from the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Mr. Weinberger has 10 years of experience advising companies in the technology industry. Before joining GLC in 2006, Jeff Weinberger served as a Vice President at Greenwich Technology Advisors, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in M&A in the optical communications industry. Previously, Mr. Weinberger worked at SoundView Technology Group, where he focused on M&A, public equity offerings and private placements in the communications equipment and software industries. He also was previously employed at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where he analyzed mergers and acquisitions in the banking industry. Mr. Weinberger holds a B.A. from Yale University and a M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
