Hugh Levey
Co-Founder/Managing Director
Hugh Levey has been an investor, principal and strategic advisor for more than 30 years in various industries, including publishing and direct marketing. Mr. Levey has been involved in structuring and negotiating hundreds of transactions, including private placements of equity, leveraged recapitalizations, management buyouts, financial restructurings and debt financings.
Mr. Levey has been involved in many industry-leading transactions,
including the sale of Crosstown Traders to Charming Shoppes and the
sale of Reiman Publications to Reader’s
Digest. Mr. Levey brings his breadth of expertise in financial transactions
and his extensive knowledge of publishing and marketing to each client
engagement.
Prior to co-founding GLC in 1992, Mr. Levey owned several companies, including U.S. Banker magazine and Diversion Communications, a travel-oriented media company which publishes magazines and guide books.
Mr. Levey received a B.A.
in English from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard
University.
